Quickbooks Support Helps You to Create And Manage Rules in The Mobile App

You won’t change any of the work you’ve done in the past if you are turning off a rule. To know more about rules in QuickBooks call QuickBooks Support.

How to create a new rule?

iOS:

In the upper left corner, tap the cogwheel.
Tap on Rules.
In the upper right corner of the Rules page, tap on the plus sign (+).
Now you need to add a description and choose whether to match exactly.
Choose the category with descriptions you want all future transactions.
Choose the account on which you want to apply the rule.
In the upper right corner, tap Save.
Select whether to apply this rule to all past and future transactions or only transactions going forward.
Android:

Tap on hamburger (=).
Tap Rules.
In the lower right corner of the Rules page tap the plus sign (+).
Add a description and choose whether to match exactly.
Choose personal, Business, or Split (and split amounts, if applicable) choose the category with descriptions you want all future transaction to have.
Tap the Advanced field and select an account if you want the rule to apply only to a specific account.
In the upper right corner, tap save.
Choose whether you want to apply the created rule to all the transactions or to the transactions which are only going forward.
Alternatively,you can tap Create rule in the blue field to open the steps above when you left on a transaction.
How to Modify or delete rules?

iOS:

In the upper left corner, tap the cogwheel.
Tap Rules.
Select the rule you want to make changes in.
By tapping Delete rule at the bottom, modify the rule details or completely delete the rule.
In the upper right corner, tap save.
Android:

Tap on the hamburger (=) icon.
Tap Rules.
Select the rule you want to make changes in.
By tapping Delete rule at the bottom, modify the rule details or completely delete the rule.
In the upper right corner, tap save.
Please Note: If you are deleting a rule no change will be made in the category any transactions previously under that rule.
